Playtest feedback and plan going forward
!Bird » Devlog
After our playtests, we reviewed the feedback we got from everyone who played the game and took note of the most common comments people made. We then compiled a list of changes we want to make to the game going forward based on this feedback. For example, a very common suggestion was to add some way for the player to move faster, so we noted that we should probably give the player the ability to do this.
- Implement a way for the player to go faster
- Implement a cursor for aiming people registers
- Make people stand out more in the environment
- Have the bird slow down when aiming
- Change controls to WASD to move, mouse to look
- Remove the player's ability to fly upside-down
- Adjust sizing of environment; park stuff especially feels like it should be bigger
- Add in-game instructions for the controls
We're planning on addressing all of these issues for our final product, especially those regarding the player control, as for our game especially, we need movement around the worldspace to feel good and natural.
